The FireRay 5000 is a motorised, auto-aligning infrared optical beam smoke detector. Each kit includes a system controller, an optical beam smoke detector transceiver and a reflective prism. When installed, the FireRay 5000 optical beam detector projects a well-defined beam to the reflective prism, which returns the beam to the detector for analysis. An alarm signal is triggered when smoke enters the beam path. The FireRay 5000 is ideally suited for the protection of large areas where the use of traditional detection technologies would prove to be difficult and/or costly to install.

- ۱ x System Controller – wires into an existing fire alarm control panel
- ۱ x Optical Beam Smoke Detector – combined transmitter and receiver (transceiver)
- ۱ x Reflective Prism (50m version) or 4 x Reflective Prisms (100m version)
- Transceiver projects a beam to the reflective prism which returns the beam to the transceiver
- An alarm signal is triggered when smoke enters the beam path
- Available in two version:
- For a distance of up to 50m
- For a distance of up to 100m
- Features integral laser alignment aid
- Automatic beam alignment: After the laser has been used to coarsely align the beam the system will take over and automatically align to its optimum position
- Automatic contamination and building shift compensation: The beam will automatically be realigned to compensate for contamination and gradual building shift
- Low level system controller monitors the detector and indicates the status of the protected area
